The Little Black Bottles - This Seattle horror/sci-fi musical duo has released their second album, Let Them Eat Red Velvet Cake, including the zombie songs Letter to Miguel and Zombie Romance. Their songs are somehow fun and melancholy at the same time, and this album has a pretty strong Stephen King influence, so that's a plus in my book.
I Hate This, Do You Like It? - Chickenhawk is releasing a zombie music video Sept. 7! You can see the trailer on YouTube, or pictures from the shoot. Shot in Leeds over four days by first-time director Danny North, with over 200 zombie extras, this video looks like it will be awesome.
Zombina & The Skeletones - Count me as a fan of these Liverpudlian punkers, after listening to their new debut single album, "I Was a Human Bomb for the F.B.I.," which also features the songs "I Love Rock N' Roll" (not what you think) and "Punk Rock Vampires: Destroy!" Fast, morbid, and fun, like a 28 Days Later zombie with a party hat.
Zombie - Lizzie Pyxx does her own music video (and her own lyrics) for the tune by the Cranberries of the same name. This video is what this song should have been about all along.
Screaming Still - The band Alaya Conscious has created a zombie video for their new song.
Run For Your Life - Songs by Aaron Stoquert from the zombie perspective. A thoughtful change from the more typical zombie songs.
Call Me Dragon - a music video from These Monsters. I'm not quite sure what it's about, but it sounds good and it's got a zombie chorus!
I can claim no credit whatsoever for this song, but I think it's cool, so I put the lyrics below.
Lyrics to the Siouxie and the Banshees song "Premature Burial":
This catacomb compels me
Corroding and inert
It weighs and tries to pull me
Must I resist or re-assert?
The unchanged and the unchangeable
Doing the zombierama
Singing Oh come and be like me
We're all sisters and brothers
Ejected to this state of being
Don't bury me with this
I'm in a state of catalepsy
Can I really exist?
Clawing from the inside
Drowning in your chant
Thoughts come flooding through me
Despairing unity
The unchanged and the unchangeable
Doing the zombierama
Singing Oh come and be like me
We're all sisters and brothers
Red and white carnations
Can't intoxicate my brain
This blissful suffocation
It is driving me to pain
Oh what a bloody shame
The unchanged and the unchangeable
Doing the zombierama
Singing Oh come and be like me
We're all sisters and brothers
I'm not your sister
Or your brother
Don't bury me with this
Join hands--join hands
We're all sisters and brothers
Sisters and brothers
I can't relate to you
You're no relation of mine
